I remember sitting at my desk last spring reading 一週間に三回 and thinking that I recognized all the kanji, it was a useful phrase, and it wasn’t too difficult, so I should be sure that I remembered it. Sitting in a small American city, I had no idea how I could practice it, but I learned it anyway.
Now, I read it a little slower, and I can’t write the kanji without checking them, but I know exactly when I can use it. Sitting here and studying it occurs to me, once again, that I am in Japan. This has meaning here. So I should make sure I know it.
